At our recent styled photoshoot, Annie and her amazing team from Vegas Makeup Artistry shared their top 2024 wedding makeup trends and hair looks. We have asked her to give us some tips on how to keep your hairstyle looking fresh on a hot summer wedding day and what is trending this year!

How can my wedding hair and makeup survive a summer Las Vegas wedding?

It’s hot out there right now. Summer is not the most popular time of year to get married in Vegas but there are still 5000-6000 wedding licenses issued each month during the summer (Compare that to 7000-8000 monthly during peak months). Are there any tips you can share to help summer brides keep their wedding hair and makeup looking nice during a hot summer day?

Annie Says:

“Everyone is dreading the heat of summer! And, we are wanting your hair and makeup to stay throughout the heat. Some quick and simple tips for leaving your glam looking and feeling fresh throughout the day.

We know your ceremony won’t be too long, but having someone nearby or even your photographer to ask if you are still in tact is great! Dont be afraid to ask, you want to look the most beautiful in your photos throughout your shoot.

Having something you can lightly blot any sweat off is great, as simple as a tissue. A little bit of powder is great too, but you need to make sure any sweat and or oil is at bay before you do any powder blotting.

We ALWAYS recommend wearing everything waterproof around the eyes, such as your mascara and or eyeliner. Never wear anything but that during the heat! Sweat, oil, and tears do not go so well with traditional mascaras!

If someone can carry a small handheld fan for you so you can do a quick fan every once in a while while you are not walking down the isle is always a great idea!”

“So for this year’s beauty trends we really want to focus on YOU! Your natural beauty and enhancing what you already have. Think about a soft glam sort of look. If you want something a little MORE… A smokey brown, but still subtle, will be on trend. A classic style never goes out of style!”
